Roseanna and I became the best of friends walking home from Ramey in the 1st grade. We remained friends until her death June 1st,1991, also her Mother's 60th birthday. I saw Roseanna the day before, and spoke with her on the phone at noon on June 1st. She died at 3 pm that day of a massive heart attack, caused by diabetes that she had had since age 3.
She left behind a 5 year old daughter, Haylie Lee Jones, now Haylie Duke. Roseanna took many of our childhood,teen years, and adult life secrets to the grave! I still miss her and think of nearly every day.
