Carla was a very special person. She has 3 daughters that have gone to Winona Schools. Her youngest is graduating this year. I taught her middle daughter in 1st grade. It was so neat to have her in my class. Carla and I went to church together in high school. We became very close, cancer does not respect age. She got cancer in the early part of the school year, and died before the year was over.
I miss her very much and I still try to keep up with her family. I know this is a big loss to all of us.
Carla was such a wonderful friend to everyone. She hauled us to lunch everyday and helped us study for our government test on the way. She was so smart and funny (she had the cutest giggle) and was beautiful inside and out. She was there to pick us up when our boyfriends would break our hearts, she was there to cheer us on through Jr High and High School. She was such a dear friend through thick and thin. We loved having slumber parties at her house. I will never ever forget this beautiful, wonderful friend.

CARLA OR NO ONE ELSE EVER KNEW THAT DEEP INSIDE I ALWAYS FELT & BELIEVED SHE WAS THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD AND THAT I ALWAYS GAVE HER CREDIT FOR ME GETTING THROUGH SCHOOL . I FELT AS SMART AS SHE WAS AND HOW SHE CARRIED AND APPLIED HERSELF TO ACHIEVE, THAT I OUGHT TO AT LEAST TRY HARD ENOUGH TO AT LEAST PASS MY GRADES AND GRADUATE . THE LORD EVEN BLESSED ME TO THANK & TELL HER AT A GATHERING MANY YEARS LATER AT RANDY & SUE PHILLIPS HOUSE . THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE THIS WITH HER FAMILY & FRIENDS SO EVERYONE CAN KNOW HOW SPECIAL SHE WAS EVEN WHEN SHE DIDN'T REALIZE IT . IN MEMORY OF A SPECIAL ANGEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two weeks ago I found out one of my highschool friends died several years ago. This was a big shock. I went to see her mother last week & had a nice visit with her. We talked about what a kind & giving person her daughter was & a great mother, daughter & friend. We talked about old times & old friends. When I started to leave we hugged & I found it difficult to let go. It was like I was saying g...ood-bye to my friend, Carla. Carla Weaver was so kind to me. She helped me go out for BB & BB officer. Carla did many sweet things for me. She always made me feel included. She made me feel special. That was one of her gifts. I know I'll see her someday in heaven... but in the meantime....Carla, I love you & miss you. Thank you for a friendship, that words are not able to explain.
