Services for Sandra Louise Toler, 64 of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Ernest S. Sterling Memorial Chapel, Brooks Sterling & Garrett Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Cofer officiating and Pastor Johnnie R. Bradley eulogist. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brooks Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors.

Sandra Louise Becknell Toler was born to James Bernard and Myrtle Becknell on June 5, 1953. She attended local schools and was a graduate of John Tyler High School class of 1971. She graduated Tyler Junior College with a GVN in Nursing.

She was a follower of Christ, and was an active member of North Star Missionary Baptist Church where she worked with the youth under the direction of Pastor T.L. Dilworth. She later served as a Deaconess under the direction of Pastor D.C. Brown at St. James Missionary Baptist Church.

Sandra was married to Larry James Toler, Sr., and from their union, two children were born: Yolanda Patrice and Larry James, Jr.

Mrs. Toler was a lover of birds, puzzle master, singer of the gospel, pianist, and lakes and waterfalls enthusiast.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother (James Becknell, Jr), and two sisters (Delores Wideman and Jeanette Becknell).

She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, her daughter, Yolanda [Toler] Williams and husband Eric Dion Chew Williams, son Larry Toler, Jr. and wife Lamisha [Cofer] Toler, four grandchildren: Eric II, Ethan, Larry III, and Laila. Also a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.
