Funeral services for Michael Lee Hallman, age 64 of Marshall, TX, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Corinth Baptist Church in Dubach, LA.  Rev. Rodney Warren and Bro. Randy Warren will officiate.  Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.

Michael died, after a short illness, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Overton Brooks Veteran Medical Center in Shreveport.  Born in Carthage, MS, Michael was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and recently retired as a federal contracted personal security officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Protective Services after 15 years.  Michael was a husband, father, son, brother and uncle who dearly loved his family.  He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Suzie, who shared in his passion of collecting Waterford Crystals, Thomas Kinkade paintings and old coins, but to his dismay refused to indulge his passion for John Deere   He was affectionately called Daddy O’, Dad and “Homie” by his children, but the title, he was most proud of was “PopPop” by his grandchildren.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Earlene Margarite Hallman.

He is survived by his soulmate, Veronica “Suzie” Warren-Hallman of Marshall, TX; father, Adron W. Hallman of Homer, La; his daughters: Jessica Cotton and husband David of Grand Junction, CO, Rachel Hallman of Willard, MO, Jennifer Horton of Bernice, LA, and Jerica Horton-Chamberlain and husband Chris of Conroe, TX; his son, Michael and wife Courtnee Hallman of Willard, MO; grandchildren: Sandy “Gumpie” Horton, Ashlyn and Presley Chamberlain of Conroe, TX, Makaylee and Michael Hallman of Willard, MO; sister, Gloria Adams of Minden, LA; many special nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews.

Pallbearers will be DeWayne Warren, Brent Bagley, David Cotton, Brandon Kilmer, Morgan Warren and Brandon Jackson.   Honorary pallbearer: great friend and uncle-in-law, Clyde C. Deason.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston.
