Nola, my special free spirited friend.

You moved to Tyler at a difficult age for any of us to move and you made friends quickly.  You were our NEW fashion queen, even designing and making your own clothes.  We spent time at each others homes and got to know our siblings.  You were a great big sister to your little (much younger) sister Laura and a great little sis to your big brother Harley.  Harley took care of us, taking us around and just watching over us.  Band was great too! Summers working together at the Sugar Shack in the Rose Garden for Mr. Murad... a little crazy but still a memory I can see in my mind today.  I am so sorry I didn't see you after graduation! I know today you are in a special place where loving arms are caring for you.  I will always remember you and feel very blessed to have had you as my friend!

It breaks my heart to know you are not with us any more.  You are one of a kind and a great person.

Sweet Nola! She sat behind me in speech I believe and was very soft spoken at first as she was so new to school.  I remember those big eyes and mascara that hi-lighted those baby blues.   She was fun to talk to and I think I got in trouble in a few classes as I chose to talk with her versus pay attention or do my assignment.  I also remember she wore the most fashionable clothes and creativity of her wardrobe was her thing.
