In 9th grade Junior High, Harley was always trying to start a fight with me, put up to it by Ricky Rayford and his gang. When Harley decided he was being made a chump, we became friends. I remember hanging out at Fun Forest park and him singing "I Heard it on the grapevine" and he was pretty good.
I have known Harley all my life and he was one of my oldest friends. He and I were the same size for years...short and small....lol but full of spunk...I will always love and miss him forever
We had classes together at JT. I really got to know Harley at the elks. Harley was a member of Elks, as was my husband. We use to go there regularly and see Sissy and Harley. Friday nights was family night and we ate there with my mother-in-law and his wife's family. I guess I saw him about 3 times a month. It was fun to go there and just hang out. I can't remember any funny stories at this time. Once he was the dealer on Las Vegas night, and boy it was memorable. Ask me about it at the reunion. He was always very nice and socialable to me as I remember in class and at the Elks. I am sorry about his passing. He would be so proud of his son Trey and Danny.
